Plan a route in the High Coast

Ulvon and Trysunda are the best known island harbours here, and Mjalton is Sweden's highest island. Skuleskogen national park reaches the shore, so several natural harbours open straight onto hiking trails.

Deep bays give good shelter, but steep slopes accelerate gusts locally. The northern position also means a shorter season and cooler water than further south. Saaristo shows shelter and services on the map.

The season is shorter than in the south: in practice June to late August. Distances between harbours are longer than in the Stockholm archipelago, so top up fuel and water in good time. Saaristo shows where the services are along the route.
